Dr Daniel Ainalis was a member of the Transport Systems and Logistics Laboratory between 2018 and 2019, focusing on the economic and environmental evaluation of Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS) for heavy goods vehicles.
He obtained an undergraduate degree and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Victoria University in Melbourne, focussing on heavy goods vehicle dynamics.
He is currently a Research Manager for the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight. His research interests include sustainable transport, fuel consumption and emissions modelling, vehicle telematics acquisition, signal processing and ground vibration modelling.
