Qiming joined TSL in October 2018 to undertake research under the supervision of Dr. Panagiotis Angeloudis and Dr. Marc Stettler. His research focuses on the transformation of urban forms in the era of shared autonomous vehicles, specifically investigating land-use change dynamics modeling.
Qiming received his BEng and MEng degrees in Urban Planning from Tongji University, China, and an additional Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Policy Design from Politecnico di Milano, under the supervision of Prof. Allesandro Balducci and Prof. Wu Zhiqiang. Before joining Imperial, he was a member of the China Intelligent Urbanisation Co-Creation Center (CIUC) at Tongji University.
Previously, Qiming was involved in the Planning Knowledge Network and the CityIQ initiative, funded by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, which developed evaluation metrics for smart cities. His other past projects focused on formulating evaluation metrics for land-use suitability and developing clustering algorithms in urban geographies.
